What is the most important thing you learned from the interview and why?
The most important thing I learned from my first interview is how to handle people who don't think domestic violence is an issue or don't really care about it. Natalie suggested that I first start by informing people, stating facts on why it is an issue or realizing that maybe its part of someone's past. Since I will be presenting my topic to high school students, I might see a lot of this because sadly many high school students don't care about major issues in life. Therefore, they might not give my topic the respect it deserves meaning I just need to be prepared to handle the situation and not be to affected by it.
