Domestic Abuse
What is the most successful way to encourage young women in abusive relationships to leave their abuser?
My project idea is to write a poem about domestic abuse that will talk about the things women in abusive relationships experience, the effects it can have on their lives, and what can happen when women don’t leave.
This relates to my essential question because just like my poem, they both revolve around abusive relationships and talk about the kinds of things that can happen in situations like these. The answers to my essential question and my poem will both give audiences a look at what it is to be a battered woman.
