ESLR Check

1. Summary of how you've been an effective learner this year.
I've been an effective learner this year because I have taken on more responsibility, such as a job, kept up with all college requirements by turning in my personal statements and applications in on time, and I have continued to work hard in school to keep up my grades and continue to excel. I have had to be organized and original when it comes to my schedule and the events I participate in, in order to manage my hectic lifestyle and remain fully involved in everything that I do.
2. Cite evidence from the senior project (be specific and use examples)
Things I've done to be an effective learner regarding my senior project are, service learning that involves serving my community to try to raise funds to help the disadvantaged (battered women) get eye and dental care. I aim to the goal of immersing myself in the shoes of a domestic abuse advocate and counselor to better understand the lifestyle of a battered woman and the amount of work it takes to help one.
3. What are specific ways that you can improve in this ESLR during second semester?
Specific ways that I can improve in this ESLR during second semester is becoming more creative through my process of learning information to answer my essential question by going to more shelters, spending even more time with counselors, and participating in more events. I also hope to achieve ideas about presenting for my 2-hour that will really stick with my colleagues, as well as activities that they will enjoy and grow from.
